Breastfeeding fears
I want to breastfeed the new baby so badly. BUT my experience with Aiden was not a good one. I hung in there and gritted my teeth, dreading every feeding for 6 months before I weaned him when we started solids. I endured a yeast infection (that my OB told me was impossible b/c the breast doesn't get yeast infections--yet nothing else could explain the pain and when I pressed her for an answer she went ahead and prescribed Diflucan, which began working in a matter of days) and a mastitis infection. It was miserable.

How Can I Eliminate The Pacifier Habit?
My Dear Friends
I feel like super mom in so many ways lately. I managed to wean my child off the breast (harder on me than on him). My baby started walking last week. Grin So Proud!
Yet, I have one mountain ahead of me that makes me tremble when I think of it. THE PACIFIER!!!!!

Looking for Help with weaning
I am the first person in my family to be successful at nursing. As a nurse, my mother witness a horrible case of mastitis which scared her away from breast feeding. She also explained to me that when I was born was around the time that formula was being developed and pushed as better than breast milk. She bottle fed us while holding us close so as to not miss out on the closeness of nursing. My Sister didn't nurse because it was too painful. She tried it, but gave up before she left the hospital.
