Roles in the Family

As you all know, I have a lovely little 3 year old...In fact, he's nearly 3 1/2. At what age did you start chores? I really am bad at giving him tasks to do and he's really bad about wanting to help clean up (unless there is a reward waiting for him at the end--like a popsicle Undecided)

My husband and I believe that one parent needs to be home with the children while the other parent works outside the home. Granted this has been a challenge for us with the cost of things but we aim for this ideal continually. He always says he would gladly stay home and be the "stay at home dad" If I could make as much money as he could and I believe him, but it seems strange when he says it. Isn't the mom supposed to stay home?

While we were away this past month we listened to a sermon during one of our feast days. The speaker made a comment that really struck a nerve with me. He said, "You won't find a single school offer a high school or college boy classes on how to be a husband, or a father, or a friend."
