My Lady's First Popsicle!
So last week we gave Zillah her very first popsicle. One of my few neighbors, Jessica, came over to visit us. She has a son, Emmett, who is just a baby himself. Jessica asked for a popsicle for her son because he was getting cranky. So I grabbed one from the ice box and handed it to her. Zillah was immediatley attracked by the bright green color and began reaching for it. Being a year old now I thought it'd be safe to let her try one so I went and grabbed the same color one for her. Then I brought it back out and opened it and gave her a small piece.
She took it in her hand and dropped it onto her highchair table. She giggled and picked it up again. Then she threw it into her mouth and rubbed her hands on her shirt. As she was doing this her face went from smiles to upset. She puckered her lips and scrunched her eyes and stared at me. She began to wimper and spit the popsicle into her hand and threw it onto the floor and then wiped her hands on her shirt again. She was still crying so to make up for it I gave her a banana that she squished and got everywhere.

These are funny! I have to say I love watching babies try to eat popsicles and ice cream. They are always surprised at how cold it is but are drawn to its yummy taste! The shivers and tears are adorable to watch.
That is very funny. Thanks for sharing!
That's too funny! I remember my 11 year olds first popsicle. He took it with great enthusiasms and held it at the popsicle level rather than the stick. He kept shivering all over, and switching the cold delight from hand to hand. With every bit he would sit there with his head stretched forward, mouth open wide and body shivering all over.
The popsicle was dripping out of his mouth onto his chest where he proceeded to try and wipe off the "sticky" to no avail. He loved every mouth freezing, chest sticky bite and when he was all done, much to my surprise, asked for another one!
