Happy Thanksgiving!
Hope you all have a wonderful, peaceful Thanksgiving! We all have so much to be thankful for and it's great to take some time and really reflect on all our blessings. Whatever you're doing tomorrow--big or small--hope it's the best and you have some quality time to spend with family and friends.
And best of luck to anyone who's going out to brave the Black Friday sales!!

Happy Thanksgiving, Everyone.
Thanksgiving was always a gloomy holiday for me growing up. Last year, though, Joakim was born and it changed the holiday forever. We now plan to have a big breakfast with friends then we are doing some charity and then having dinner with some more friends.
I'm really excited about the charity part because its not really charity, its more fun. We are reaching out to those who no one else thinks about, not homeless or police officers; we're reaching out to cashiers, clerks, custodians and nurses who have to work and serve others while their families celebrate without them. They may not be heroes or super needy but they're probably sad to be missing out on family. We're just going to drive around and hop out when we see a place of business open to give the employees a note of thanks! It will be fun!
Mikki,
For the first time ever I will try Black Friday. I've gone before but found that real deals happen after New year's. Black Friday deals are not really what I call deals. Unless you're standing in line at 4am for a new TV. I mostly look at clothes and home decor. No need to get trampled over that! lol
Have a great one!

Debra - that is a wonderful way to share Thanksgiving. It is so true that many people will be working while their families travel to other families homes to show thanks together. It will mean so much to them to receive a card expressing your thankfulness for what they do.
I agree that the real shopping deals are after New Years and we tend to grab at a couple things around then if we are out, black Friday has too much hype!

Thank you Cheryl,
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving as well. We are expecting our boys and do not plan to brave black Friday, in fact I plan to finalize all grocery shopping today so that I don't need to go out for any reason!
Black Friday's can get pretty ugly. LOL
