Any Tips on Organizing and Storing Photos?
Simple enough question, but how do you all organize all the photos you take of your kids? If you're anything like me, you have a ton!
I've tried scrapbooking and I'll have every intention of getting it done, do a few pages, and then get distracted with something else. I must own enough paper, stickers, die cuts, pens, glue, etc., etc. to make about 12 scrapbooks, but just never seem to get to it. I love the idea of digital scrapbooking, but it's just way too expensive. I have photo albums where I have put some photos, but even that's hard to keep up with. Most end up going in a box to be sorted "some day". But I never seem to find that day!
What do you all do? Do you have any secrets for organizing?

I gave up on scrapbooking a long time ago because its expensive, time consuming and its not practical when you have hundreds of photos.
I have a few on line albums at walmart.com where you can email to family and friends. They can even order photos and have them delivered to their home or their local walmart. I also have a webpage for my baby at babysites.com where I upload a monthly album. Family members can sign a guestbook and read journals. Both sites are secure and private.
I also have DVDs where I just place all my digital photos and make a big file with all of them. It is viewable on computer and DVD.
Last, I have not done this already but I will print out photos and fill out and album for each year organized by month.
For special events, like a holiday celebration, I just do free or inexpensive digital scrapbooking at smilebox.com
Hope that helps!

Well. glad to see it's not just me!
Not only do I have all the photos we've taken since the boys were born, but I also inherited all my mom's photos. So I have things going back to when she was young, right through me and my brothers, and all the way up to my boys.
Thing is I know the boys love looking at the pictures, but I don't want them handling them all either. I guess I need to start trying to be too fancy and just get them all put in albums somewhere!

I have to say we have an extremely large toute in our bedroom closet filled to the top of pictures. We have a definite overload of photos going back to when our 25 yr old son was a baby!!! Scrapbooking crossed my mind (my daughter loves doing this) but in reality I see scrap books as a means to honor a specific event like a wedding, birthday party, birth, you get the picture.
What I have started doing, than it got postponed of course, is buying a photo album for each kid and placing those pics in there. All of Morgans pics in one, Aaron's in another and so on. for the family photos we have the family album. Unfortunately though for the most part our photos are kept in one large tote
Organizing pics has never been a top item here. Like you Cheryl there are lots I want to do with them but never seem to have the time to follow through.
